Our outreach activities
The Zambia Association of Paediatric Surgeons (ZAPS) through its partnerships with Bethany kids, ACS H.O.P.E and other well-wishers conducts outreach services to selected centers in the country. At the moment, these centers include Kabwe Central Hospital, Livingstone University Teaching Hospital, Chipata Central Hospital and Chitokoloki Mission Hospital. The services are done in a bid to reduce referrals for specialist paediatric surgical care from these far-flung centers and surrounding areas. The plan in the near future is to expand these services to all provincial centers in provinces without paediatric surgery specialists.

Chitokoloki Hospital is a mission run institution situated on the banks of Zambezi River in Zambezi district of Zambia in the North-western province. The hospital serves not only the people living in the immediate catchment area but also many others who travel from other areas of Zambia and neighbouring countries.
