Who we are
Zambia Association of Paediatric Surgeons (ZAPS) is the official professional body for Paediadtric Surgeons Zambia.
We stand to promote and advocate for equal access to quality, timely and safe surgery for every child who needs it the country. We do this through provision of quality care, advocating for increased access, promoting training and establish strong partnerships with likeminded partners to ensure every child can access timely and safe surgery when they need it.

Our goals
Surgical care
Promote excellence in the provision of paediatric surgical care and advocate for safe and accessible surgery for every child.
Training
Undertake and spearhead diligent, holistic and high-quality paediatric surgical training in the country in order to improve skilled human resource.
Research
Undertake and promote research in paediatric surgery and related fields thereby contributing to evidence-based practice in the field.
Collaboration
Foster and nature strong collaborations with like-minded partners in order to improve surgical outcomes in children
Our Outreach services in numbers
The Zambia Association of Paediatric Surgeons (ZAPS) through its partnerships with …. conducts specialist outreach services to selected centers in the country. At the moment, these centers include Kabwe General Hospital, Livingstone Teaching Hospital, Chipata Central Hospital and Chitokoloki Mission Hospital.
